


Originally from Nova Scotia, Sarah actively pursued the arts in her teen years; starting in live music, working behind the scenes with artists including the All American Rejects, Gord Downie, Sublime, and Simple Plan before finding her way into the performing arts in all facets.
Armed with a BA in Theatre and History from Queen's University and an MFA in Directing from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University, she has excelled as a production designer, director, and producer across Canada and the US.
She is a lifelong directing fellow of the Actors Studio in NYC and previous member of The Actors Gym writer's room, moderated by Bobby Moresco, where she develops new works.
Her work as a producer earned a Juno Award nomination in 2019 for Scott Helman's "Hang Ups". Her design work for "Got Your Name On It" with Canadian country star Jade Eagleson has over 105 million views on YouTube. Her Hallmark design work in "A 90s Christmas" received a DGC nomination and award for Best TV Movie Crew of the Year in 2025.
Her short film and directing debut, "The End of the World," took her to Cannes in 2021, won 11 awards, and screened at 21 festivals globally. In 2022, four films she designed earned a spot in Amazon's top 12 Christmas movies. Her design work in the 2023 web series "Gay Mean Girls" appeared on the TIFF Next Wave stage and earned a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Picture in a Digital Web Series.

Recent theatre directorial credits include Off-Broadway runs of Hope and Gravity and Danny and the Deep Blue Sea in New York City, as well as original works Off-Broadway with Actors Studio Playwright Timothy Nolan: "SugarPlant", "Eminor 7th", and "Stuck With Fred".
Her executive producing feature debut, Kill Victoria, was part of the official selection for KCFF 2024 and won awards across North America and Europe.
Sarah's design filmography includes more than 30 feature films, more than 50 music videos, and over 500 short-form content pieces across print, broadcast, and digital platforms.
In 2020, she co-founded TORYORK Productions with Toronto actor Brandon Macpherson, creating 10 new narrative works in under a year Their first screen written feature, Bishop earned them an award at Canada's Bridge fest. In 2025, she helped form Trinex Productions, a Hamilton-based production company producing micro-narrative content.
She is part of the faculty at Toronto Film School, where she shares expertise in production design and creative collaboration; having revamped the design program and created a new content creation and creative producing course. She also sits on the graphic design and AI consulting committee and works with educators across southern Ontario on AI in creative practice.
In her most recent endeavours, Sarah production designed the visual media campaign for the 2026 Juno Awards, & dBrand's "Touch Grass" campaign, she then has gone on to design a series of shorts for MPI, Art Direct a few reality shows and design a new thriller through the first half of 2026. In the second have of 2026, Sarah can be found at TIFF & local Hamilton Film based events, in the editing room for her long form directing debut, and in pre-production for another upcoming feature film.
